to start.....heres a link to a pic of my car.....
http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm.dll?eventorder?photo=040Y004R000029&start=0&album=0&adjust=-1
As you can see, there is some body roll going on there. The car works, don't get me wrong but thats a whole lot of stress. This car was built on a budget and we race on a budget. Today I had someone suggest to me to replace all the body mounts with aluminum blocks....Now I am not chassis expert so I want to know if this is a reasonable idea or this guy off his rocker? Or are there any other ideas you guys might have.....again.......we race on a budget.
Thanks guys.
By the way, I'm Ryan |

Need a little more info about your current setup. Type of cage, rear suspension components, roll bar setup? Tell us everything about your current chassis setup and we will try to help you out. _________________ Nathan Fee

At first glance...I would address some suspension issues before I changed any body mounts. Thos A-body cars do that a lot. Put a beefy anti-sway bar in it and tie the frame rails in from side to side. _________________ Nathan Pritchett

| Ah yes, did I forget to add that. Yeah aside from the comp engineering drag shocks all the way around, and the air bags in the back.........yup, 1972 springs all the way around. We have a set of Moroso springs ordered. As for the cage, just an S&W 8 point. I am planning on putting a ten point in over the winter and running up through the firewall to the frame. That should help too. The car is killer consistant on the 60 foot. It runs 1.52's all day long, and as long as I run the left lane I can hit the tree in the same spot all day too, but if I get bumped into the right lane, all hell breaks loose on my lights. I don't know that I want to calm it down per say, just even it out a bit. Make any sense? |

Like Nate said an anti-roll bar would be my first step. _________________ Nathan Fee

| We also put a limiter kit on the front end too......would cranking down the right front more than the left front help, or with that just put the twist somewhere else? |

Check out: www.hrpartsandstuff.com
Probably the best Chevelle (and G-Body) stuff on the market.
